So, what IS Katonah Yoga? Developed by veteran yoga teacher Nevine Michaan in Katonah, New York, Katonah incorporates Taoist principles, Chinese medicine, and sacred geometry to work with the body’s glands and internal organs.

Katonah Yoga uses traditional hatha/vinyasa poses and makes them even more dynamic by working them in all directions. Katonah classes will tap you into the body’s innate ability to fit itself and create space for the organs and glands to function optimally. A Katonah class will help you find strength and stability in the lower body while creating freedom and mobility in the upper body. With many practical applications, Katonah joint work relieves and reverses the effects of everyday life such as texting, driving, and walking in heels, and even has the capacity to heal injuries from years past. Katonah Yoga is also quite esoteric, incorporating the use of metaphor to not only spark your body and breath, but also your imagination.
